Can grading done with Symphony be transferred?

I am going to grade a film shortly using MC8 with Symphony option. I will get the consolidated project from the editing room, and when color correction is done, it will go back to them (they also have MC8). I intend to use CC Effect mode in Symphony, putting the effects on a separate video track, as I have done before with good success.

My question now: Will they be able to see and use the graded sequence although they do not have the Symphony option? Or is it absolutely necessary to give them a video mixdown of the graded sequence?
