Looking at the DNxIO specs it says: HDMI 2.0 type A connectors for HDMI output.
My question for the DNxIO owners, or the techs at Avid: is this HDMI output using 2.0a, which is a format that allows for HDR? or by Type A connectors do they simply mean the shape/size of the cable?
Reason this is important to me is based on my output path: if i go from DNxIO out via HDMI 2.0a, then I am sending HDR data out, and if this goes into my fancy new 4K tv with HDR support, and with Avid's own recent added feature of HDR color space, then I truley have a HDR path from Avid to my viewing monitor = awesome looking Avid output!
Any info you could share would be most helpful!
