Tracking data and video layers.

As I haven't posted for a while I'm thinking I'll go mad and ask two questions at once. First up, if I have for example 4 tracks of video in a sequence v1, v2, v3, and v4, is there a way to turn v1 and v2 off, in order to observe how effects in just v3 and v4 interact. Since moving tracks vertically makes no difference in MC, I can't simply move v3 and v4 below v1 and v2 which would have been a clumsier way of achieving this. As it is the only way I can think of seeing just 2 tracks is to delete video in lower tracks and then undo the delete.

Secondly, is it possible to track a feature in one video track eg v1 and apply that data to video in another track in the same sequence eg v2. I know it is possible using the paint effect with still images and got to thinking how useful it would be to have video in a higher track follow the movements of an object in a lower track.

I fear the answer is no and no.

Actually I think the tracker in the picture in picture will probably do what I had in mind.
