We're having some problems with the new Media Composer (first in 8.5.1 and remaining in 8.5.2) with the screen layout.
When the software opens it defaults to 'source record editing' (as shown by the tick in the window layout), but it's actually loaded up in single monitor. If I right click and choose 'show dual monitors' everything looks like it's fine, but if you go to workspaces it has a tick next to 'single window editing'.
If I then click on source record editing it takes me back to a single window view.
The other things I've tried is to go to effects editing, then close the effects editor window. At which point the tick now appears next to 'source record editing'.
I then asked media composer to save the current layout, however if I click on source record again, it goes back to the single frame, and effects editing is now linked to the source record layout that I saved a moment ago.
This is the same across 24 machines, and isn't a duplicate install (i.e. a disk image of the computer, it's a fresh install on all machines) - any ideas?
