Last week we had some heavy rains which resulted in a roof leak in our building. Directly over our ISIS 5500 system, of course. I pulled out the unit, removed the power supplies and looked around. I found standing water in the chassis. I left the unit opened up and the power supplies out over the weekend in an attempt to dry it out. When attempting to power it on today, it very briefly powers up for about 1-2 seconds before shutting down.
We are in the process of getting a replacement unit now. I am hoping that the drives themselves are okay since I did not find any evidence of water in the front of the unit where the drives are housed.
My question is: If the data and system drives are ok, is there a way we can save all of the exisiting footage on the system? i.e. get it up and running somehow so we can transfer all of the data to a new system?
Thank you in advance...
