Importing 4K AVID DNxHR files Created from After Effects with Alpha into Avid Causes Problems :(

Hello,

I typically create all my titles in Adobe After Effects. For HD projects, I render out a DNxHD Quicktime file 1080i59.94 or 1080p23.98 with RGB+Alpha, set it to straight, and import to the Avid.  It looks great, no problems.

I'm having a problem with this workflow for 4K resolutions.  In my render settings for After Effects, I choose the DNxHR codec and use the "LOW BANDWIDTH" version to save disk space. Set my source mode to RGB, Alpha = COMPRESSED. However, while the Avid does import the file correctly, I can barely see my title. Seems like an alpha issue, as if the Avid can't read the alpha properly.  Is there any difference in the DNxHD/xHR codecs? Why dPostoes DNxHD work perfectly but DNxHR won't?

Can someone please do a quick test and see?  It's a very simple AE comp - just a simple title that says "Text."

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,

Asaf Blasberg
