switched to MBP to do out-of-office editing. How to move back to Mac Pro now that I'm back in office?

I have to start by apologizing wholeheartedly—the last time I had to work out-of-office, I followed the advice of people on this forum, and copied all of my Avid MediaFiles from my three SATA drives that are inside my Mac Pro, to a 6TB USB 3 drive that I could easily take with me.  When I got back (I can't remember how exactly) but I was able to copy my updated Avid Project Folder to my Mac Pro and start work again.

Anyway, this last time I had to leave in a rush.  I remembererd to deactivate MC on my Mac Pro and activate it on my MacBook Pro, and I remembered to add a copy of my Avid Project File to my MBP, and I took the same USB drive that had all of my mxf files on it.... so I was able to edit.  But I was out-of-office for longer than expected and ended up adding lots and lots of text and graphics and subtitles other things.  So now I'm back in my office, and this particular Avid project is fine on my MacBook Pro (when it's connected to my USB drive), but I'd like to pick things up on my Mac Pro now, and the SATA drives.

I know I can copy my updated Project File from MBP to Mac Pro, but there's lots of media/titles/etc. on my USB drive that's not on my SATA drives.

What's my best course of action?  Shall I look at each and every Avid MediaFiles MXF folder on my USB drive, and compare the number and names of the .mxf files within, to see what ones I should copy into MXF folders on my SATA drives?

Or would it be simpler and safer to just edit with this USB drive from my Mac Pro?  I think, if that's the better option, that I would only have to remove the SATA drives from my Mac Pro, attach the USB drive, and copy my updated Avid Project Folder for this particular project from my MBP to my Mac Pro.

Any advice re my best course of action?

Thanks very much, Malcolm
