I love Avid and feel I am becoming fluid with its operating, though undoubtedly there is still plenty to learn. I want to go out and look for web video editing work, and yet many companies in this field are anchored either in Premier Pro or FCP. Out of interest, do these two systems work with MXF files, and can an Avid EDL be imported into them both with the result that the hiring company has a workable back-up method of any work they give me?
What would be the issues to bear in mind? And can anyone point me to a useful online tutorial that handles this subject?
