We have encountered in issue where we have several weeks of footage shot for a film on the Sony FS7 camera in UHD XAVC-I 23.98. We have consolidated all of the footage into Avid. Worked great. Grouped and scened all the footage. All is cool.
Then we did a transcode of all the master clips to an second workspace using DNxHD36 1080 to later send to an offsite editor. All of the video transcoded just fine but none of the camera audio copied to the drive. The result is the new master clips have online video but offline audio.
We have tried this several times over and the same thing happens every time. Is this a bug in Avid? Are we doing this incorrectly? I've never experienced an issue in the past where audio did not copy over when transcoding media.
Our environment is Windows 7, Avid MC 8.4.5, Sony PDZK-MA2 AMA plug-in 3.4.2. Our consolidate is to an ISIS workspace and the transcode is to a different ISIS workspace.
