I am trying to sort out a little issue that has developed in a new edit suite. Regardless of the resolution that clips have been transcoded at they have started suttering on playback (pausing for about 1 second every other second). This only atarted the last couple of days as it was all working fine last week.
The machine is not connected to the internet, its running 8.6.1, all media is on one of internal 7200rpm drives and takeing up well less than half of the space (180Gb on 1Tb card) the suite is is fitted with 32Gb ram,a nvidia quadro 4000 Gfx card and 6 core 3.40Ghz processor running 64-bit windows 10.
There have been a couple of modifactions to the machine in the last week which I've rolled back but it doesn't seem to help (more ram was add going from 16gb to 32gb, nvidia drive upgraded to incude the cuda accerlaiton need for davinici).
Anybody have any ideas?
