I've been a loyal Avid user since 1998... it's always the industry standard but I'm starting to wonder why I'm so loyal since they ALWAYS are the last on almost everything!! Premiere and FCP could link and edit long before Avid. Premiere could work in a 4K project YEARS before 8 came out. And now, I'm trying to export a DCP and I can't... why? Because I'm loyal to Avid. With Premiere, it's literally as easy as exporting a Quicktime. And, a footnote is that they can do real Closed Captioning, not this burned in, odd version of that... if I want CCing with a project, I have to go pay for it.
I'm sorry, but it's getting ridiculous and I'm starting to feel like we're becoming the laughing stock of the industry. When is Avid going to step it up and be the FIRST to do something!?
C'mon Avid, Premiere had DCP output over two versions ago... and here we are, years behind again.
