An odd thing seems to be occuring.... Recently it has become a need to migrate a project from Avid to Premerie and back again... I exported the sequence from Avid as a linked AAF (both video and audio) and the copy to a folder option selected.
I sent the AAF and AvidMedia Files folder to the external facility to be worked on in Premiere (as this is all they have) with instuctions to only uses the DNxHD 36 files for the edit... Which they have....
After a week or so we get back a premiere project which opens fine and connects perfectly to my avid media drive where the original files exist... So far so good. Ithe expoerted a linked AAF out of Premiere to bring back into Avid with the thinking that it should then relink to the same Avid media files... but... when the AAF is imported, the audio linkes fine but the video in the bin now says it is DV25 420 where it was once DNxHD 36 and will no longer play....
I tried bringing it back in via media tool and the clips seem to be refferenced as DV25 throuout the whole system... I cant even delete the media and Batch Reimport without errors and I dont fancy rebuilding the sequence from scratch or continuing the project in Premiere...
If anyone knows a way to chance the value of the Video tab in the bin back to DNxHD 36 you will be making a fat Welsh man very happy..
