I started my day with this error.
Yesterday I had successfully AMA linked/Transcoded one of two C100 cards for my project.
This morning when I attempted to AMA the remaining card I would get the error:
exception:std:exception.what:AVCHD AudioDecoder:8aea0099
after it linked only 5 clips (the same 5 clips each time) (i enacted the definition of crazy).
I figured it out. I wanted to share it since I was unable to find the answer searching Mrs. Web or the Avid Forums.
Yesterday I was AMA'ing from a jump drive that was attached to the front of the computer via usb 3.0 . Today I was AMA'ing from my "Camera File BU Drive" which has a fw 800 port. I connected it via FW next to my project drive. When I began troubleshooting I thougth about recreating the confriguration from yesterday.
I think i had the problem because my source and target drive were sharing a bus. When I attached the Source Drive to the front of my my Mac via usb 3.0 it worked. Martinini lunch avoided!
I am curious to those in the know. Does it sound like the problem was caused by them being on the same bus? Sharing the same core? Had I transgressed an "Uh duh" Fundalmental law of computing that information is best passed between processors rather than within? And most importantly, what does this error message mean?
Thanks!
