I'm seeing the same Background Services Manager error in v 8.6.3 that I reported for v 8.6.2. The Background Services icon above the T/L alternately turns grey, then green, again. Clicking it yields an error message that says the Avid Editor Services is not running. edit: the problem seems to be only for background processing. If you deselct the BGS checkbox, it seems to work ok.
