Media Consolidation

Good morning. My previous system had about 15 different partiitions (came over from W7 with 2TB limit) and of course each drive had it's own AVIDMEDIA FILES folder. Some of these folders also had sub-folders 1, 2, 3, eect.  (some only have 1).

I have done away with the numerous drives and I am consolidating these drives down to 4. As I do this I am copying over each drives AVIDMEDIA folder to the new drive. Now the new drive has media folders from drives 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (this is an example).

I am now ready to delete the database files, add them to one folder and allow AVID to rebuild the media database.

Should I put ALL the media files in 1 folder and allow AVID MC to split them out into subsequent folders on the new drive OR create folder 1, 2, 3, 4, ect for the system and split them out myself BEFORE I rebuild? I obviously want to make this as easy as possible for me and the system.

thanks!
