Hey All, I am working in an HD 1080p 23.98 project and have some 4K footage linked into the project through ama. I want to focus on a specific area of the 4K frame and so want to zoom into the 4K. Because I want to zoom 4K in a HD project the blown up image should still have more than enough resolution to look quite good. When I cut a portion of 4K footage into my timeline It has an effect automatically applied, the icon has what looks like an S on it. when I go into effect mode on that clip it has the frame flex effect on it.
I tried using resize on the clip and when I blew it up it looked blurry and grainy and just like crap. That is when I realized that the frame flex effect has a built in resize function so I removed the resize effect and tried zooming in with the frame flex effect. the results were better than the traditional resize but I feel like it was still considerably more blurry than it should be. SO FRUSTATING!!!
So I guess my question is how to best resize/zoom/blow up 4K footage in an HD project
