I'm working on a TV series and the edit systems are currently running MC 7.0.6 because the post team uses Script Sync. We are being upgraded to MC 8.5 very soon. I know that there is a work around for the lack of scrip sync in MC 8.5, by using a machine running 7.0 to do the syncing and then opening it up in 8.5. Here is my delema. All our edits, AE stations and ingest stations will need to upgrade to 8.5. That means the project will be created and all the footage loaded on MC 8.5 machines. I can set aside a system to keep on 7.0.6 for the script sync, but will there be a way for us to open the bins of interview footage in 7.0.6 and do the script sync if they were created and loaded in MC 8.5?
Trying me best to make this work for them. Looking for a workaround.
