Hi,
I face some serious problems concerning the bin fonts in avid. Playing around with the "set globally" setting offered no solution. Disabling fonts in the mac's fontbook is the only way to clean this mess because Avid seems to always use the 48th font of my fontbook. See the screenshot below, which explains my problem at first glance.
Renaming or deactivating fonts in my font book to position a readable font is no option.
Thanks for your help and I really appreciate every hint solving this problem.

Media Composer 8.4.5.
Avid is installed on the OS- SSD
OS X El Capitan
Version 10.11.1
