Audio files offline in Editor / online in Interplay

Dear Interplay users,

I wonder if anyone had the same problems we having right now: When we ingest media directly in Media Composer OR with our Ingest Server (Media Director) all files are online. After checking in and opening the files on any other client, just the audio files are going offline. When I open them on the Client I have imported them earlier they are also gone. No problems with video files so far. Files are ingested to an indexed workspace on an ISIS5500.

What works:

- Files are online in Access, when we check the storage path under File Location

- Media Indexer is also indexing the files (they appear in the web interface)

- Video files in general

We didn't have any problems until the end of last week. Unfortunately we did some changes in our setup, what makes it even harder to track down the problems:

- Updating Editors to MC 8.5

- Installing TeamViewer 11 on the Clients (upgrade from Teamviewer 7)

- Installing a Cisco VPN Server for MediaCentral Access

It only occurs to audio files. All clients and server have correct DNS entries. Time Synchronisation also seems to be working fine.

What could also trigger such problems? When I start the clients, Media Composer gives me this response for all mounted workspaces:

************* Media Indexing Report *************

The following remote folders are currently unindexed.

Please contact your system administrator.

\\AvidISISIP\Ingest\Avid MediaFiles\MXF\AVID1-HP.1\

\\AvidISISIP\Ingest\Avid MediaFiles\MXF\AVID1-HP.2\

\\AvidISISIP\Ingest\Avid MediaFiles\MXF\AVID2-HP.1\

\\AvidISISIP\Ingest\Avid MediaFiles\MXF\AVID3-HP.1\

and so on... -> This is shown for every MXF Folder, no matter if it's indexed or not. Is this a normal procedure? Also the Indexer gives a severe diagnostic: "Exception on copying files from the backup archive C:\ProgramData\Avid\AvidMI\log\archive\avidmi.log.archive-20160219.zip.bak". Also happened never before.

Edit: And what I recently discovered is another MI diagnostic which might be the lead to the problems:

"Transport Connection to: tcp://192.168.255.3:58971 failed: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset" (also for every IP adress we are trying to get things back to work). Maybe it could be a problem with the VPN server?

I know this could caused by a lot of different settings but maybe anyone have gone through this before :(

Best regards

Arno
