Hi everyone.
I'm having a lot of trouble installing Media Composer.
I haven't activated the product yet because I wanted to start a trial and make sure the version ran smoothly on my system. I haven't even been able to get it installed, let alone test it out.
I'm running OSX 10.10.5 on a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012)
2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
C02J54X0DV35
Someone on a forum told me they were able to run MC without an issue with the same setup.
At the last stage of installating MC 8.4.1, it reads:
"The installation failed. The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
I tried to install MC 8.3.0. It seems to install succesfully, but when I try to run the program, it reads:
"Failed to migrate license information. Please contact Customer Support for further assistance."
I contacted AVID but received no response.
I've tried doing a clean install of the software and reinstalling to no avail.
I bought this Macbook Pro used, and my suspicion is that the former owner may have been a former MC user who didn't deactivate or uninstall the product properly?
Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated. I feel stuck.
