Export mxf op1a 50i from a 25 p project

Hello everyone,

I'm finishing a documentary in a 25 p project (avid 8).

I need an mxf op1a 50 i.

I changed the project settings to 50i before exporting but when i open the file with vlc the inspector says 25p.

I think it's only a playback frame rate am I right?
