I decided to use the AMA volume function and I'm regretting making that decision. I am wondering how I can transfer the footage that my project is referencing to the normal Avid MediaFiles folder that Avid usually references.
The short film I am editing was shot on an Panasonic AG-HVX200P. All the data on the P2 cards was transferred to a harddrive. I used Avid's AMA volume functionality to edit while referencing the footage from these folders. (I synced sound referencing the original P2 folders, made subclips, and edited with these.)
I realize now I should have transferred all the footage to the Avid MediaFiles folder to start with, as I'm discovering limited functionality, and I'm also concerned with problems down the line. I am wondering, how can I move all the P2 MXF files to the Avid MediaFiles folder, while preserving the synced sound and edited sequences I have?
I have attempted searching for the answer to my question, but I haven't been able to find a solution that I can easiy understand. I'm on a deadline, and any help would be greatly appreciated. I can try to be more clear about my question, if that's necessary.
