Good day, I have one qestion using FrameFlex option in multicam mode. I have two files with adjusted FrameFlex. I group this files by IN point and get group clip, but after inserting this clip on timeline I do not see FrameFlex icon on the clip and can't apply FrameFlex option to group clip - "Source settings" is inactive. Although FrameFlex settings is applied to clips and I see it in group clip, I can't adjust it and I need adjust FrameFlex individually for each clip on timeline, created during multicam editing. Can I do this?

Green screen crashes and constant hangs
Probably will need support for this but does anyone have any ideas behind these issues?
Its my tried and tested workflow on XAVC UHD and 50P media - been using it years really. On Latest version Avid Symphony its crash city though. Doing a full re-install now...
It crashes all the time and especially during a render. Green screens come up and flicker as you edit.
Here are screenshots of my symptoms and if anyone has any idea I'd appreciate it. Its nothing trick and no workflow I havent been using for 2yrs plus :(
Can anyone who uses Frameflex and Symphony confirm they too get a green screen in the sourcve viewer if they try to adjust a Frameflex with a Symphony colour correct active too?

Change number of available audio tracks in a group clip?
Hello,
I have been using the new sync sequence-->Group clip feature and have some questions.
I am editing a promo with (3) cameras and a screen record as video sources. On the audio side, I have (2) booms, (2) lavs, camera mics on all three cameras, and a multi-track pro tools recording with stems. Ideally, I'd like my group clip to have all the audio tracks available to cut in all at once. Since no single audio component contains more than (2) tracks, I only get two tracks available to cut in at a time. This has led to a lot of duplicating in the timeline.
Essentially, i want to cut between cameras, but I don't want to cut between the audio. I just want all those tracks in my timeline as I will need them for the Pro Tools mix. Is there a way to achieve this?
I synced the clips using the Avid waveform analysis by doing a stringout with each element laid out in an assembly in the timeline, selecting the clips and using waveform analysis. Avid then stacked everything and I created a group out of that sync sequence.

Audio track types for Ambisonic Audio formats
How are people dealing with 4-channel ambisonic audio in Media Composer? I don't really need to audition it properly, but I'd like to create a ambisonic track type for easier editing. Essentially, Avid let's us make mono, stereo or surround sound tracks, but currently they don't seem to have an ambisonic quad-channel option in the multi-channel audio options. Given the ambisonic support added to Pro Tools, it's strange that this hasn't been updated in Media Composer.

Launch problems for MC Ultimate
I posted a week ago that I couldn't get the Trial version of MC to launch. Now thhe problem worsens. I actually went ahead and bought it, and it launchhed once just fine. All seemed normal. The second time, it stopped again in Intializng Settings. Can someone please get me going? I am trying to work on a MacBook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.6.

MC 2018.12.3 NOT WORKING very sluggish help!!!
Hi Guys,
I have been working with avid for over 20 years now in post production house in london. I have now decided to get a system of my own up and running. I have runa trial version of 8.4.4 which i had floating around and worked fine. I decided to purchase a years subscription and found i could only use the new versio 2018.12.3. Fine, i thought, will be nice to use a new updated version.
Not so! i cant even scrub through audio without it sticking on the timeline. When you play any video it jumps and stops randomly. Its all very strange. Thing is, i now cant use my licience to roll back to an earlier version as i dont have a 'Perpetual' licience, apparently!
My system details are below. Whilst i admit they are not from the offical workstation supplier list (hp, dell etc.) , i think you can see that the spec is more than suffienct. So whats going on? I have never had this problem even using an older version on laptops connected to a unity system!!
Any advice would be much appreciated.
SYSTEM: Intel i7-8700@3.70ghz , Asus Z370-G Motherboard ,Corsair 64GB 3000mhz RAM, QUADRO P4000 GFX CARD. 1TB solid state media drive. 2x AOC 23inch Widescreen Monitors. Water cooled system.

Sometimes MC won't close
Every so often when closing MC, it gives an error message that it has encountered a problem and has stopped working. I'll force MC to close with Windows Task Manager. I don't lose any saved work, but it's annoying and there seems to be no cause & effect pattern dictating when and why this happens.

How to "consolidate" camera footage to exclude unused takes
Hi,
there's a short film edited in MC (camera footage AMA linked and transcoded to DNxHD36) which soon goes to a coloring facility. They will get an AAF and the original camera files, but is there a way to give them only the files which are involved in the final timeline?

Symphony Three-tone Preview not showing?
It's absolutely possible that I am doing something wrong, but I can't get the Three-tone preview to show up in my Symphony.
MC 2018.11, Mac Pro OS 10.13.6; The weird thing is that I'd swear I saw it last week, thought, that's weird, what's that for, went and read about it, came back to investigate , and now can't make it show up. In fact I see no difference when selecting Input, Three-tone or Output on preview, I always see output.
As I say, I am fully prepared to find out it's a simple button I didn't push or whatever, but sheesh, it's makin me crazy.

Audio stuck in loop in STOP
Been having this past few days - hit stop and yet audio keeps repeating in a loop over and over again and you have to repeatedly hit stop and play a few more times to get it to shut up. It loops maybe the last couple of frames of audio.
Anyone know what it is, what it is, what it is, what it is , what it is?!!!

CRASH ON EXIT Media Composer 2018.5
I just installed Media Composer 2018.5. It seems to be working fine, except for the fact that when I exit/quit the application, it crashes. I don't seem to lose any work, but I did not have this issue with the previous version. I did an uninstall before I installed this version. I am also working in a brand new project, so I am not sure why I am experiencing this issue. I am also using a new user profile. MacOS High Sierra Version 10.13.4

Closing a gap - while some clips stay fixed in the timeline
Hello everyone,
I like to close a gap, while some clips stay fixed in the timeline. For example in a broadcast workflow, some clips have to be at a certian point in the timeline, while I can move around my b-roll freely. So in my example the clip after the gap is an interview and has to stay there and those two clips before the gap I`d like to move to the right, while the first clip has to stay. How can I do this, exapt lassoing those two clips?
I+O and than extract would move the right clip.....

Phrasefind question.
Hi I just got Phrasefind and after completing the scan, I did a search for a word, and when I double click on the result it just open the clip but not on the word. If you have an hour long clip and it does not tells you the location of the word, that what is good for? Also the option to search on a timeline with Phrasefind is grayed our. You can’t find words on timelines???

Media Composer Transfer modes/Layer blending
Hello Avid!
I'm currently on MC 5.5 and I do a lot of layer blending (Transfer modes)! It's a part of almost every project that I do and I use the great free plugin from Profound Effects called DMN Transfer. The problem is that it is a 32bit plugin and therefore can not be used with MC6.
It's 2013 and Avid MC still can't do layer blending natively. I know this is a MAJOR issue for many editors. Just do a quick google search. This should at least be available as a native plugin but even better as a right click option in the timeline!
I don't know if you guys have an agreement with BorisFX or something like that but right now this is the reason why I'm not upgrading from MC 5.5 to 6.5 and the reason why I'm considering switching to Premier Pro.
To some people this may be a small thing but to me it is major. As I said - I do a lot of layer blending.
So my request is: Give us a way to do layer blending inside Media Composer! Not using Avid FX or expensive 3rd Party plugins.

Huge re-transcode and relink
Ah geez, I've just done the sort of thing you only do if you're really new to Media Composer or have been on it so long you get a little too comfortable with important tasks.
I unintentionally deleted a ton of Media Files!
I was trying to delete unused precomputes and, without noticing, clicked on Media Files as well. Now, fortunately, before hitting delete, I found Media Relatives to my last several cuts and then reversed selection so none of the master clips these media files were linked to are in the current cut, but, ah, you know, this is bound to be a huge problem.
So I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to fix this. These clips were all brought in AMA, transcoded and then many were synced and/or grouped. There was a ton of work behind this.
Honestly, I considered not even posting this here because I'm embarassed I did something so foolish. I've been on Premiere lately and just forgot some of the rules. I have the time to re-transcode. But is there a way to relink in this case? I just can't remember.

Multigroup duration and In/Out not matching
We made some multigroups with 3 cameras and external audio. The groups work fine, but our editor noticed that the duration of the group clips are 40 mins but the in/out of the entire group is 2 hours 14 mins. You can see it in the picture. What is causing this? We are on Avid 2018.11.0.

Some DJI Osmo transcodes fail
Hi
After AMA-linking DJI Osmo files, I transcoded them. But, some of them fail. I get this exception:
When I look in the Source Browser I notice that the clips that do transcode show a different AMA Plugin name than the ones that do not transcode. Anyone an idea what might cause this?

Installing bus service feature pack
Hi All,
We are trying to install a bus service to cloudux 2019.2. The service was cerated in App Creator Tool in VS Code with cloudux-starter-kit-service@2.0.2. After uploading the feature pack to the server we execute commands
avidctl feature-pack import service.zip
and
avidctl feature install --feature avid-releases/service --name service --version=1
The second command fails with

Do you know where can be the problem? Installing other a UI App with the same commands is working, the problem is only with bus services.

Avid ASDT should be able to skip certain errors.
I can't seem to fix security center, and therefore it wont move to the next flag/error.
it would be nice if there were check boxes on what we wanted to fix, or if we could skip certain in a list.
