Often, when I try to live cut to a camera angle while playing a sequence in mcam mode, playback stops as soon as I select a cam angle (with mouse or num key).
This is not consistent, and I haven't been able to determine what could cause this.
Am I overlooking something ? Could it be a performance issue (system doesn't seem to be stressed) ? A GPU driver issue (I'm using a different nVidia driver 'cause Avid provided driver (390.77) doesn't want to install on my DELL) ?

Been seeing some consolidate/transcode processes that, once they're done encoding, have the "Project" column blanked.

I can't save it to one corner of monitor, when i open project it keeps going back to full screen and i have to keep adjusting it. Is there a way to save it the bin will keep a resize?

I'm working on an animated film for a client. My animator gives me the video and I'm using Avid to do sound, sfx, and captions.
My goal is to avoid transcoding unnecessarily. So I was trying to export a QT reference that I would then use with MPEG streamclip to export an MP4.
I realise that you can't do that. My normal workflow is to do a Video Mixdown of course. But transcoding the animated video seems to affect the colour.

I just downloaded the new version of MC. It works perfectly but i have a huge problem, i can't display my timeline or the source material in the monitors, I see only black. If i play both the run correctly, i can hear the music and Sfx but i can't display the video. Any Suggestions?? Thanks!

to keep things short:
I want my old, stable and proven user interface back! What you done in 2019.6 is a real garbage, especially to connect project view and bin view together.
With no reason you destroy the "muscle-memory" of every professional editor with longterm experience.
So bring up a switch, where the editor can choose which interface design he like to prefer.
The way of success to beat competitors products is not to copy and paste their bad peculiarities.

Why is this happening?
Earlier this year, Sorenson Media announced that Squeeze was no longer part of their portfolio and ceased all licensing, development and support of that product line. Avid is therefore no longer able to sell or support the product.
Can I still get help with issues?
Customers who require support for Squeeze should refer to the Sorenson Media website. Avid cannot provide any support for issues related to Squeeze.
When will I stop being able to use Squeeze as part of my Media Composer subscription?
Sorenson Squeeze installers will be removed from accounts on January 31st. Starting January 1st, the next time a subscription license is reactivated – either as part of an annual renewal, a monthly payment, or a monthly “call home,” – Squeeze will stop running as part of a subscription license.
What about an alternative software solution?
Avid will not be replacing Squeeze with an alternative software option.

I'm on a Windows system, In MC, along the top I see:

I have never explored using these shortcuts until tonight, but I've (finally) learned that I can:
a) Press and release the ALT modifier key (do not Hold it down)
b) then press, for instance*, the W key to reveal Windows drop-down menu;
"Workspaces" should now be highlighted
c) then Arrow down** the opened Windows column, where all your “Bins-in-use” are listed.
** better yet, Arrow UP,which is a quicker way to get to the bottom of column, where all the Bins are listed)
d) then press Enter on a Bin Name you want to make it acti
This tip was motivated by a Forum question which asked about switching Tabbed Bins- without using the Mouse to do it.
I never realized how easy this was, for MC Drop-down Menu navigation, so thanks for asking!
I suspect the Mac version works the same way but I haven’t tried it. Please post here if it also works.

This ALT / Windows Menu approach will list All Bins available in any Bin Containers, if more than one is used in a workspace.

There is an Interface Setting involving "Standard Windows ALT key Behavior", but it didn't seem to matter if it was enabled.
I tried but could not find a keypress or modifier combo that allows cycling from one Tabbed Bin to another, in a Bin Container. You can use Mouse Scroll wheel to do it, after hovering over the Bin Name.
* note each column has a different Underlined letter to access it via keyboard.
Firstly I'm happy to say titler+ 2019 has had a few tweeks, which almost makes it workable!!
Centering two lines works, left or right justifcation works, and now with 2019 you can scale your titles!

The stepping in the scale. Looks shocking. Firstly I thought maybe needs rendering, but makes no difference.
Can anyone else do a quick down a dirty test to replicate. Simply titler+ scale from 90-100% over say 2secs.

Just trying Ingesting and Transcoding using BG Service works direct but in the queue it is failing with this error.
Exception:BG_UniSink instance is not compatible with BG_CompositeSink instance.
Any ideas....Harry
